Utsu Aurora Chalet

On the first floor, at the heart of the chalet, the main living area holds floor to ceiling windows that frame the famous aurora borealis (aka northern lights) at night, and provides a beautiful view over the surrounding landscape during the day. The double-height space reflects the openness of the interior, favouring glass, and open space instead of walls - welcoming inside an airiness like the expansive wilderness outside. Large sofas and armchairs cluster around the space creating a comfortable atmosphere, and like the other furnishings, earthy tones and textures bring a closeness to nature within the home, combining the ruggedness of the outdoors with contemporary elegance.

Next to the spacious living area is an open kitchen fully equipped with newly installed appliances and a kitchen island with bar seating. Also on the first floor is a dining table for eight, a crackling fireplace and a sauna complete with a shower/changing room. Finally, two large terraces accessible from the living room and sauna wrap around the home, providing a seamless connection with the outdoors.
